[GIVEAWAY & BLOGIVERSARY]: The Bookgasm Has Just Turned 1

19 February 2016

To my dearest followers and readers,

How are you doing this lovely Friday evening (or morning or afternoon, wherever you are)?

As I pour my thoughts out on this letter, apologies are rendered in advance if I may seem to word vomit rather than appear as eloquent as I attempt to. Lately, my train of thoughts derailed from its system leaving my mind in utter chaos.

Anyway, it’s been exactly one year since the prime post on The Bookgasm saw limelight. So, yay! Happy Blogiversary to my blog! One year of trying to fit my pea-brain on this wide web of intellectual minds. One year of failing and learning and bringing these steps into religion.

Blogiversary

In the multiple times I screwed up, in the many times I had official and unofficial hiatuses that I sometimes secretly wished prolonged, there were reasons that kept The Bookgasm still up. I stand by the 7th rule of the Fight Club.

I grew out of my shell, expanded my social universe, exercised critical thinking and inventiveness, and such and such. This blog became my happy pill.

Gratitude is necessary to all of you who supported this humble blog of mine.  Thank you for being my sunshine, my cupcake, and my warm toilet seat! (Sorry about the latter. I just find such rather comfortable).

Allow me to reciprocate your kind act with this small present. I will be giving away $25 worth of any book of your choice from Book Outlet or The Book Depository. See guidelines below:

  1. The giveaway is open internationally.
  2. Price is inclusive of shipping fees.
  3. This will run from the 19th of February until the 11th of March. Rafflecopter will draw the name on the 12th and if verified accurate, will be announced the winner.
  4. Should the winner failed to be contacted, another one will be picked.
  5. Cheer up!

  3. Happy blogiversary, Trisha! I owe you for introducing me to the book blogosphere. If you never stumbled upon my blog, I would still be talking to the void now. Hahaha. 😂
Gah I feel like I haven’t left you my long and rambling comment properly in ages. Work schedule has been crazy for me too.
Anyway, I really enjoy your new discussion posts feature and of course your witty reviews. So here’s for another year of blogging and making friends and talking about books!

  9. I’ve only discovered your blog, but I’m looking forward to getting to “know you” more. I don’t have any suggestions for your blog, apart from do what you love and do whatever strikes your fancy. This is your platform and you should do whatever flows your boat 🙂 Congrats on year of blogging, here’s to many more!

    • That’s a very nice advice. Thank you so much, Rebecca. I absolutely agree that I should not treat this blog as work but more like a passion, and that I should focus on what I love than what I think people will love. I hope to get to know you as well 😀 *hugs*
